Dr. Sarabon Tahura is a medical graduate (MBBS) from Mymensing Medical College under Dhaka University and obtained her professional degree FCPS (Paediatrics) from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeon (BCPS). Afterwards, she completed fellowship in Paediatric Intervention Pulmonology from Qilu Children Hospital under Shangdong University, China.
Dr. Sarabon Tahura started her career in Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital in 2006. At present she is working as Assistant Professor of Paediatric Respiratory Medicine in Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital.
Dr. Sarabon Tahura has attained advanced training and acquired the necessary expertise from different hospitals of India, China as well as Bangladesh. She has earned significant experience in Paediatrics and Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and she is highly competent in managing different Paediatric Respiratory diseases including Pneumonia, Recurrent Respiratory tract infections, Brochiolitis, Broncheal Asthma, Allergy, Tuberculosis, Immunodeficiency and chronic lung diseases in children.
Dr. Sarabon Tahura is the 1st Paediatric Interventional Pulmonologist in Bangladesh. She has earned significant experience and expertise in Paediatric Bronchoscopy for foreign body removal from airway and other interventions in children.
A good number of original and review articles have been published under her name in different national and international medical journals. She was awarded in different international seminars.
Dr. Sarabon Tahura is a member of the American College of Chest Physician (ACCP) and World Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP).
